Sunday’s Itinerary :-
10.30.am -
The Beach,
Y Felinheli -
Scrutinising & Registration
The Beach, Y Felinheli
All entrants must be present at 10.00am on the beach at Y Felinheli.
There will be a temporary one way system force [from the C’fon
direction] on the roads approaching the beach. Marshals will be on hand
to direct all traffic to and from the area. All teams must appoint a
Master of their raft and provide details of all crew members to the
Scrutineers. Each crew member must wear a life jacket and comply with
the rules and regulations set by the organisers, mainly in the interest
of safety. Remember the scrutineers decision is final, any raft or crew
member deemed unsuitable or unsafe will have to be disqualified, so make
sure your raft will stay in one piece and float. All participants must
collect and wear their safety tally band.
12.00am –
Final Briefing
The organisers will give a briefing to all the teams, detailing the
order of launching, the route, the procedure at the finish and landing
at Porthaethwy and most importantly Heath and Safety requirements.
12.25am
– Warning Signal
A warning signal will be sounded and the imminent start announced on
Marine Radio to alert other vessels of this ‘Hazard To Shipping’
12.30am
- The Start
All rafts in the first class will launch from the beach and proceed
towards Porthaethwy along the route set out in the centre pages of this
guide.
From Approx’
2.30pm – The Finish
When landed at Porthaethwy all crew safety tallies must be handed into
the tally marshal outside the Mostyn Arms. Teams are reminded that they
are responsible for the safe landing and removal of their rafts from the
beach.
4.30pm
- The prizes
A prize giving Ceremony will be held near the Mostyn Arms. Awards will
be made to:-
1st Competitive Raft
Best Junior Crewed Raft
Best Entered Raft – as deemed by the Judges.
Best Pub Raft
Best Ladies Raft
Raft that has raised the most money
All teams, successfully completing the route will be awarded a
certificate
The raffle
drew will be made shortly after the prize giving. There may be entertainment at the Mostyn
Arm in the evening.
